So this past weekend I decided to go on a trip. I randomly decided on the Grand Canyon and just hit the road. I think I spent an equal amount of time driving as I did staying there, but I took a bunch of little side roads in order to see new stuff. I just explored. It almost made the GC boring because I wanted to get back on the road. So I came to a conclusion.
A lot of people have said things like "It's not the destination, but the journey that blah blah blah". I can kind of now see what they meant, but far more literal. Literally, the journey was more exciting than the GC. So I've decided to get lost more often. Maybe once a week just take some random roads and a camera and a good map. Let's see what happens...

Tour del Tucson
Holy hell that was cold!
-----------------------------------------
So we've been getting some rain in the desert lately. I've tried snapping a couple things, but it was always after work so my creativity was low. So early yesterday morning I am awoken to the sound on rain on the roof. I jump up, google how to keep my stuff dry (because it rains just about never) and hit the streets. I'm looking for a photo with that Umph, one that just tugs at one's emotional core. Instead, I stumble upon thousands of bikers at an annual race that I've never heard of. Originally 10,000 bicyclists riding 104 miles around the Tucson area. Being that is
No idea for a title
So wire is the new thing. Until I can afford photography, its on the back burner. When I get my pc up and running I'll put Photoshop on it and start playing around with stock photos so I can get some practice and play around with it t remember how to even use it. But the wire, that is some fun frustration. Learning to do What I want it to look look is the challenge. And everything turns out a lot smaller than I had planned, for some reason. But that's probably good for the time being since I don't have anywhere to store a large amount of large sculptures. so small ones it is, and I have several requests for robots before my big stuff.
The boomerang
So I was packing up my stuff to move to a new state several weeks ago. In the process, I found a bunch of photos, and started to self-critique. Then I found my cameras. It's a shame they hadn't been used, I know, but film is very time consuming and I'm very impatient. But it started planting seeds in my mind. I want back in. I browsed more of DA, i got inspired and ideas to stea...I mean mimic. Wrote up a list of things I want to do. Now I just need a digital camera. Hello Ebay...
Jesus Christ
Wow, when you leave DA for 6 months you really don't recognize it when you get back on. I got on out of boredom and come back to 950 messages and a new (new to me) layout. wicked. So when i get my subsciption back I'll start some comments, because looking over photos in my gallery have kinda inspired me to get back into it. Now i just have to find a new subject. The reason I quit was a lack of subjects in my area. Theres only sooo many times you can take a picture of a cactus before it begins to look like every other cactus around. *sigh* I'll find something, because I feel the addiction coming back.
